At the HEB in Elgin, the starting point, the bikes just kept arriving. We had a contingent of 11 bikers that normally ride with the Georgetown Honda riding group. We split into three groups since we had 28 bikes. Richard lead group #1, Dave Getz lead group #2 and Stu McCurdy lead group #3. It only took about 1-1/2 hrs. to get to Snook. When we pulled into the parking lot of Sodolak’s Country Inn Steak House there were a few Harley folks waiting in the parking lot. They said they were there to meet a large group that was somewhere behind us. We quickly organized the Chapter O group, attacked the restaurant and scooped up the available tables we needed, barely beating the Harley group inside. The Chapter (Randy & Kathy) paid for appetizers. They ordered fried onions & pepper "toothpicks" and the world famous chicken fried bacon. It was delicious and the only sound that could be heard was that of many arteries plugging simulatnaously! Many of us ordered the extra-small steak special that was a whopping 16 oz. steak with salad & fries. “Big Eater” Enrique ordered the medium steak and carried away in a to-go-box, as much as us with the 16 oz steak got. I heard no complaints on the quality or quantity of food. After stuffing ourselves some headed home while 15 bikes continued about 15 miles to College Station, TX to the George Bush (#41) Museum. We spent about 2 hours there viewing all the interesting collection of things he had accumulated while in office and WW-II material from his military days Those on the ride were: Harry & Polly Bowers Charlie & Julie Diggs Jim Dumas JC & Millie Fazzino Enrique & Yolanda Garcia Dave & Joanna Getz Al Hancock & Claire Nybro Mark Heene Doug Konz Bill & Nancy Lea Richard & Dorinda Maier Russ & Joan Miller John & Wanda Osborn Randy & Kathy Reese Richard Seay Amber Sprague Tom & Dawn Sprague Gene & Gayle Thomas Jim & Johnnie Faye Tidwell and grand daughter Shianna Robby & Tricia Winfield Mike Jordan Larry Jordan Ray Hyatt Steven & Zack Bethke Jerry VanHyfte Stu & Diana McCurdy Dan & Cindy Yancy Emery Hamilton 47 people, 28 bikes/trikes
